TRAVEL
We recommend flying into Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) in Paris, which is about two hours from the venue. We’ll be arriving in Paris on August 1st to enjoy some time in the city before the wedding, and we know many of you may do the same. If you’ll be arriving early, let us know—we’d love to spend extra time with you!
CHÂTEAU LA CHENEVIÈRE
Our wedding will take place at Château La Chenevière in Port-en-Bessin-Huppain, a small coastal town in the Normandy region.
TRANSPORTATION
Train: France’s high-speed and regional rail systems make traveling to Normandy both efficient and scenic. The closest station to the venue is Bayeux, but if you plan to rent a car, Caen is the most convenient option.
Rental Car: You can rent a car directly in Paris or take the train to Caen, where rental options are readily available. Renting a car is highly recommended if you plan to explore Normandy before or after the wedding.
Driving Service: We will share options for hiring a private driver from Paris to Normandy closer to the wedding date. This may be a good option for large groups.
Please note that Uber and other ride-sharing services are not guaranteed in the region, so we recommend planning transportation accordingly. That said, transportation will be provided to and from wedding events, so no need to worry about getting to the celebrations!
WHERE TO STAY IN NORMANDY
With limited availability at Château La Chenevière, many guests will need nearby lodging. We recommend staying in Bayeux from August 8th-10th, which is a larger city about 15 minutes from the venue. Here are some options to consider:
Hôtel Reine Mathilde hotel rooms start around €250 per night
Domaine de Bayeux hotel rooms start around €150 per night
Au Loup Apartments apartments start around €110 per night
Maison Auxais private mansion with 3 bedrooms
Please note that Uber and other ride-sharing services are not guaranteed in the region, so we recommend planning transportation accordingly. That said, transportation will be provided to and from wedding events, so no need to worry about getting to the celebrations!
EXTEND YOUR TRIP
Paris
We’ll be arriving in Paris on August 1st and staying in the charming Saint-Germain-des-Prés neighborhood. Paris holds a special place in our hearts—it’s where we got engaged, and we’re so excited to return.
If you’re planning to spend time in Paris, here are a few of our favorite things to do:
Stroll through the Luxembourg Gardens: A peaceful oasis in the city and perfect for an afternoon walk.
Explore Parisian Flea Markets: Hunting for treasures at the Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen or other local flea markets is one of our favorite things to do in the city. You never know what unique finds you’ll come across!
Tour the Louvre Museum: Home to the Mona Lisa, the Venus de Milo, and countless other masterpieces, it’s a cultural experience like no other.
Explore Montmartre: Wander the cobblestone streets, visit Sacré-Cœur, and take in breathtaking views of the city.
Visit Sainte-Chapelle: This Gothic chapel is known for its incredible stained glass windows that flood the space with vibrant light.
Normandy
The Normandy region offers so much to discover, from its rich history to its stunning landscapes. Here are some highlights:
D-Day Beaches: Visit Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery for a moving and historical experience.
Bayeux Tapestry: See the famous medieval tapestry that tells the story of the Norman conquest of England.
Mont-Saint-Michel: A breathtaking island abbey that’s one of France’s most iconic landmarks (pictured above).
Apple Orchards & Cider: Normandy is renowned for its apples, particularly for making cider and calvados (apple brandy). You can visit local orchards and cider houses in Bayeux and surrounding villages to sample delicious, locally-produced cider and learn about the region’s rich apple-growing heritage.
We’ll continue to update this page with more information as the date approaches. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
